After spending the last two weekends collecting roof rack parts ( and winning a set I don’t need at the local auction rooms, now selling for a profit hopefully!) I decided to strike whilst the iron was hot and the air was warm and dry, 13C in February can’t be bad.

Me and my eldest son who is the protagonist behind the roof rack, set a bout it. We fitted the three roof bars from last week with relative ease, spaced them out nicely to match the rack. The rack was then dumped on top, and we went off to buy some U-Bolts to clamp the two together. Nobody had U-Bolts I needed… We bought some M8 Bolts and nuts, and were going to fashion something.. The roof bars came with a Ladder tray, that had been fitted with some brackets, we had to drill out the holes 6mm to 8mm and flatten on part of each bracket. It worked perfectly and the rack is now safe and sound.

The reversing camera was moved and now points down to the base of the van so you can back up TIGHT!

I then set about fitting the ladder (also purchased last week as part of the deal) this was actually quite easy, for now it’s fitted to the old door until we get round to fitting the glazed rears. It looks like it’s on an angle, but I think it’s an optical illusion.
